Beilin expects his party's success in coming elections

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa met with Labor Party Israeli Knesset member Yossi Beilin who is currently visiting Cairo.
Beilin said his visit to Cairo comes in light of his concern over consultations with Egyptian officials at the present, saying that Egypt is the main supporter of peace and stability in the region and that Israel has to cooperate with Egypt.
Concerning the Labor Party and its chance to solve its internal problems before the date of Israeli elections decided to be held next year, Beilin said there are no divisions or disputes inside the party and what is currently taking place in the Israeli political arena is the appearance of a new middle party established by the former chief of staff Amnon Shahak.
He that there will be a strong contest between Labor leader Ehud Barak and current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the coming elections.
