Algeria renews adherence to U.N. settlement plan for Sahara

Algeria renewed on Monday adherence to the United Nations settlement plan for the Sahara, which provides for the holding of a self-determination referendum.
Algeria "backs the U.N. settlement plan and the Houston accords for the holding of a free and regular referendum" in the Sahara, said spokesman of the Algerian Foreign Ministry, Abdelaziz Sbaa
