Syrian production of gas exceeds one billion cubic meters

The quantity of natural gas produced from wells in Syria has amounted to one billion cubic meters through mid-December, at a rate of between 2 and 4 million cubic meters of gas daily.

Sources in the Syrian company for petroleum announced the company department of El-Haiaa fields and the middle region project's management are currently preparing to expand the base of investment in the fields of the middle region as well as installing new stations for collecting gas, and upgrading the wells at El-Nagib site in the Syrian desert.

The sources said that at the beginning of the coming year, an Italian company is going to install 35km pipeline, after they have agreed to implement the line and install a gas station at a cost of 10 million dollars. The sources did not mention the company's name.
