Netanyahu has not taken a decision yet on south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 12/28/1998

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel has not taken a decision yet over conditions in south Lebanon. He expressed his conviction that several possibilities should be studied for setting conditions in the region.

In a press conference he held on Sunday night in Haifa, Netanyahu added that, "Israel will resume its negotiations with Syria at any time Damascus government shows its readiness for that."

He added that Israel "under any condition will not accept being vulnerable to Katyusha missiles launched against its northern borders."

Meanwhile, Israeli radio said that sources at the Israeli Cabinet denied that the initiative of Israeli Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon on gradual withdrawal from south Lebanon would be submitted to the mini-Cabinet meeting which was held on Sunday for discussion.
