It is a terrible aggression and terrorism, and I console them in themselves and in their people because the destruction and the aggression were on the whole nation in which hatred from the USA and Britain to the Arab and the Islamic nation was very obvious." Algerian Peaceful Society Movement (Hamas) decided today to form an organization to nominate its leader Sheikh Mahfouz Nahnah in the Algerian presidential election that will be held next April. The proposed organization would follow up on the election process and set up the electoral program, as well as prepare the election campaign. Go

The hotel and resort of Dahab's Hilton will start its actual activity after a formal inauguration attended by Egyptian Minister of Tourism Mamdouh El-Beltagi. The resort contains 163 units comprising 2 floors, tennis courts, a diving center, water sports facilities, and electronic games. Go

During the first 10 months of the current year, the volume of Egyptian exports to Lebanon in 1998 amounted to nearly $41 million dollars where the most important exported goods are onions, potatoes, frozen vegetables, dates, rice, peanuts and artichokes in addition to Egyptian industrial products. In the context of developing relations between Iran and the Arab Gulf states, Bahrain has appointed a new ambassador to Iran, said the Bahraini daily al-Ayam (days). The daily added that Salman Abdul Wahab al-Sabagh, arrived in Tehran on Thursday as Bahrain's ambassador to Iran to assume his post as ambassador for Bahrain to Iran. Go

The Arab League has called for an emergency meeting of the AL council on Wednesday on the level of foreign ministers to make consultations on the current Arab conditions, the US-British attack against Iraq and means of convening the plenary Arab summit recently called for by Yemen. Go
