$1 million donation from King Fahd for Granada school

Arab League (AL) Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid received a donation of US $1 million offered by King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia in support of the activities run by the Arab - European school in Granada.
Abdul Meguid said that the donation granted by the Saudi king came in response to the call advocated by the AL to ensure the necessary funds to strengthen the activities of the Arab-European school in Granada.
The school was earlier threatened with closing because of a lack of financial support. Abdul Meguid expressed appreciation for the King's stances in supporting this "Arab-European edifice," which contributes to strengthening cultural relations between Europe and the Arab world."
