Egypt fears strikes against Iraq could affect compensation of Gulf War victims
Egypt-Iraq-USA, Politics, 12/24/1998
Egyptian official sources expressed fear that the recent US - British strike against Iraq and destruction of the petroleum refinery for exporting oil could obstruct the implementation of the oil-for-food agreement and delay the compensation that is to be sent to those harmed by the Gulf War, of which Egypt is still to receive about $293,000 in compensation under article A for forced departure, as well as $100,000 under article C for compensation of damages caused to possessions.
