Peres supports the establishment of a Palestinian state
Israel, Politics, 12/23/1998
Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres has asserted that the only means to resume peace negotiations is to implement what had been agreed upon at the Wye Plantation and then to go beyond that.
In an interview granted to the French daily Le Humanite published on Tuesday, Peres said he supports the establishment of a Palestinian state. He indicated that it would be better to have there two states instead of having one state with two warring peoples, Monte Carlo radio reported.
