New Israeli carnage in Bekaa as Israel kills eight Lebanese civilians

Israeli war planes on Tuesday launched two air raids on the central sector of the western Bekaa, in eastern Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said that two Israeli planes fired four missiles at Jenta town close to the city of Baalbek. Fifteen minutes later other Israeli jet fighters bombarded again Jenta and the town of Serghin, firing eight rockets.

Strong blasts were heard and eight civilians, including six children, were killed as a result of the Israeli raids. Earlier, Israeli war planes raided the areas of Abi Rashed and Burket al-Jabbour in the western Bekaa, the Lebanese security sources said.

The sources added that Israeli jets continued to violate Lebanese air space. The Israeli planes broke the sound barrier over the capital Beirut and its outskirts.

Earlier, Israeli occupation forces shelled al-Zahrani river course, al-Wadi al-Akhdar (Green Valley) and the surroundings of Tallat al-Zahira in Ali al-Taher mountain from their positions in al-Zaffata. Lebanese security reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli bombardment targeted the eastern area of Kafer Rumman town. The bombardment came in conjunction with intensive attacks using machine guns, targeting the residential areas of the town. The bombardment forced schools to suspend their lessons hours.

In retaliation, Lebanese resistance forces attacked the Israeli al-Zahira position. Direct hits were scored.

Meanwhile, the Israeli jet fighters at 9:25 a.m. raided the outskirts of Burkat Jabbour and Ali al-Rashed area in the Western Bekaa.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli planes launched air-to-surface missiles at the targeted region. The Lebanese Army and resistance forces intercepted the jet fighters.

Further reports from south Lebanon said the Lebanese youth Fadi Adel Nader was wounded on Tuesday as a result of the Israeli military bombardment which targeted Kafer Rumman town in al-Tuffah district in south Lebanon. The Israeli brutal attacks on al-Tuffah district coincided with sorties by Israeli warplanes and reconnaissance aircraft in the skies of south Lebanon.
