Iranian contacts to settle the Iraqi crisis

Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi has expressed the great concern of the Iranian President Muhammad Khatami, who is also the chairman of the Organization of the Islamic Conference OIC concerning the US, British military strikes against Iraq.
In telephone calls he made with the Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and the Saudi counterpart Saud al-Faisal, Kharazi called for immediate suspension of the hostile attacks and stressed the need to seek a solution for the Iraq crisis.
The Saudi and Egyptian FM s called for continued consultations for finding out a proper solution to the crisis. Kharazi also made similar telephone calls with his British counterpart Robin Cook in which he voiced Iran's objection over the violation of the Iranian airspace when an American-British missile dropped in the Iranian city of Khurram Shah. He expressed the regret of the Islamic public opinion over the US-British attacks against the Iraqi people.
