Lebanese complaints over Israeli military flights over Beirut
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 12/17/1998
The April Understanding Monitoring Committee will meet on Sunday at the headquarters of UNIFIL at the Lebanese border town of al-Naqoura.
Lebanese security sources said the committee will discuss two Lebanese complaints against Israel in protest over Israeli warplanes breaking the sound barrier at low altitudes in the skies over the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and south Lebanese areas.
The Lebanese side will also complain about the Israeli bombardment against Barachit town, which damaged several houses.
The committee will also discuss an Israeli complaint claiming that the Lebanese resistance opened fire on Israeli occupation forces in the occupied part of south Lebanon from populated areas.
