Mordechai for early Israeli elections

Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai has called for early elections in the Israeli Knesset. In statements he made on Wednesday quoted by Israeli radio Mordechai announced that if it would not be possible to achieve progress in the negotiation process as stated the in Wye Plantation agreement with the Palestinians it would be very necessary to have an early Knesset elections. He added that he has reached such a result through the obstacle that hit the negotiation process with the Palestinians during the past days. Mordechai made it clear he does not intend to resign from his post.
