Mubarak confers with Arafat

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Wednesday received Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and held with him a round of talks dealing with the latest developments on the Palestinian-Israeli track.
On the Egyptian side the meeting was attended by Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzouri, Defense Minister Hassan Tantawi, chairman of the President's administrative court Zakaraya Azmi and President Mubarak's advisor for political affairs, Osama el- Baz.
The Palestinian side was attended by members of the Palestinian Authority, Nabil Shaath and Saeb Erekat and the Palestinian ambassador in Cairo, Zuhdi al-Qidra.
The Egyptian President confirmed his country's care for the Middle East peace process and for the need to return all legitimate rights of their owners.
In a joint press conference he held with Arafat in Cairo, Mubarak noted the Israeli government's intransigence and procrastination in implementing signed agreements.
On Netanyahu's proposal to change maps of neighboring countries and to place "Israel" instead of " Palestine" on the map, President Mubarak said:"Let Netanyahu changes the maps he has. We do not take orders from anybody."
