First official visit by a Greek foreign minister to Kuwait

President of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah on Wednesday received messages from the presidents of Greece and Senegal concerning bilateral relations between Kuwait and each of the two countries.
The Kuwaiti President received the two messages in two separate meetings with the Greek foreign minister and Senegal's minister of trade and crafts.
A round of official talks was held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry between the first Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad and Greek Foreign Minister Theodhoros Pangalos.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of consolidating bilateral relations for the interests of the two countries.
The two sides reviewed several issues of mutual concern and the latest political, regional and international developments. In conclusion of their talks, the two ministers signed a memorandum of understanding concerning consultations between the two countries' Foreign Ministries.
This is the first official visit by a Greek Foreign Minister to Kuwait.
