Qatari ruler sends message to Gaddafi

The Libyan news agency JANA said on Sunday that Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gaddafi on Saturday received a message through the foreign minister of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Jaber al-Thani, from Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani pertaining to " bilateral relations," in which the ruler of Qatar asserted his country's "support for Libya in the Lockerbie issue."
At the conclusion of its annual summit, which concluded on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, the Gulf Cooperation Council expressed its hope to reach a solution to the Lockerbie crisis, following the recent visit of UN chief Kofi Annan to Libya.
