Iraq still expects a US strike at any moment
Iraq, Politics, 12/8/1998
Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan has stressed that he expects a US military strike against Iraq at any time. In statements he made to reporters in Baghdad on Monday, Ramadan said that, "Iraq expects the US strike today, or tomorrow, after one or two months," noting what happened last month was just a postponement of the strike rather its cancellation.
Ramadan added that, "The strike would not take place if we accept the siege imposed on us since 1990 to continue."
