Libya and Tunisia endorse security agreement
Libya-Tunisia, Politics, 12/7/1998

A high-ranking Tunisian security delegation chaired by Minister of Interior Ali Chaouch left Libya yesterday, after concluding a two-day visit, during which Chaouch endorsed a security agreement with his Libyan counterpart, Secretary of Public Security Muhammad Mahmoud al-Hijazi, aimed at boosting bilateral coordination in security areas.

Al-Hijazi said the agreement came in implementation of the decisions of the high-joint committee chaired by the Libyan and Tunisian prime ministers, which held its most recent session in Tunisia at the beginning of current year.

This new agreement pertains to strengthening relations and upgrading coordination between security bodies in the two countries.
