Syrian president receives a communique from Bahrain's Emir

President Hafez al-Assad on Wednesday night received at Damascus al-Shaab palace Bahraini Minister of the Interior Muhammad Bin Khaleifa and members of his accompanying delegation.
Present at the meeting were Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa and Bahrain's ambassador in Damascus. Khaleifa conveyed a message to President al-Assad from the Emir of Bahrain, Sheikh Issa Bin Salman al-Khaleifa. Talks dealt with Arab affairs and the situation in the Gulf region.
Earlier in the day, al-Sharaa discussed with the Bahraini minister "topics of common interest." Earlier, the Bahraini minister arrived in Damascus with an accompanying delegation.
