Iran calls on Taleban to try those suspected of killing diplomats
Iran-Afghanistan, Politics, 11/30/1998
Iran warned the Afghan Taleban movement of the consequences of not arresting and trying those suspected of killing Iranian diplomats in last August.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesman described the Taleban movement's assassination of the diplomats as a violation of international law, adding that trying the Afghan suspects is the only way out of the situation.
These warnings came at a time in which the Iranian air, naval and land forces are getting ready to conduct maneuvers today, in which 50,000 Iranian soldiers will participate.
