UNPF chooses Bahrain as headquarters for regional program on women

The UN Population Fund has announced it chose Bahrain as the headquarters for its regional project in the area of reproductive health and women in the Gulf region's states.
UNFP's resident representative in Bahrain, Faisal Abdul Qader, said the project will cover the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, with the objective of supporting institutional capacities in the fields of reproductive health and women. The project will assign experts in the Gulf area to prepare a document for this project and to draw its strategies, activities and programs.
