Shalala to visit Lebanon

US Secretary of Health and Human Services Donna Shalala will visit Lebanon as President Clinton's personal representative early in December, a White House statement said. The visit, the statement added, "will underscore the importance the United States attaches to the US-Lebanese partnership."
Shalala will visit with newly-inaugurated Lebanese President Emile Lahoud and other officials, visit health facilities, and deliver an address at the American University of Beirut.
