Morocco-Romania, Politics, 11/25/1998
Moroccan minister of the interior, Driss Basri, is expected this Wednesday on a two-day working visit to Bucharest at the invitation of his Romanian peer, Gavril Dejeu.
Basri will be received by President Emil Constantinescu of Rumania and will confer with the Prime minister Radu Vasile and with the Speaker of the romanian Senate, Peter Roman.
The Basri-Dejeu talks will cover issues of mutual concern and means of upgrading cooperation between the two countries' interior departments.
Morocco and Romania signed a cooperation accord to fight drug trafficking, organized crime and illegal emigration in August 1997 during the Romanian interior minister's visit to Rabat.
