Israel continues aggressions against south Lebanon

Lebanese resistance forces on Sunday carried out a series of successful operations against occupation positions inside south Lebanon. Lebanese resistance sources said its groups attacked occupation positions in al-Qantara, Rashaf,Teir Harfa, Muthalath al-Qasir, and direct hits were achieved.

On Saturday, the Lebanese resistance forces attacked Israeli positions in Beer Klab. Direct hits were scored.

Meantime, the Israeli warplanes raided twice the areas of the central sector in south Lebanon. Moreover the occupation forces on Sunday shelled several towns adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the occupation forces bombarded the outskirts of Barachit, Shaqra, Safad al-Batteikh, Yater, Jib Sweid and Jabal Sujoud.

The sources added the residential areas in Qabriha and Zibqin towns came under the heavy shelling of the Israeli artillery. The shelling was in conjunction with Israeli warplanes flying at low altitude in the area.

On Sunday afternoon, the occupation forces attacked the towns of Majdal Zoun, al-Rahrah, Toulin, Qibriha, Barachit, Kafra, Yater Jibal al-Butoum and Jib Sweid.

Lebanese security sources said that an Israeli 105 tank shell hit the house of Lebanese citizen Muhammad Nasser in Haris town in the western sector and exploded in one of the house's rooms. Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance announced the death of one of its fighters in confrontation with the Israeli occupation forces in the surrounding of Beer Klab position on Friday.

The resistance said that the fighter who was killed, 26 year-old Ghassan Muhammad Zaatar, joined the resistance forces in 1989 and took part in several operations.

On Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces bombarded with 155 mm artillery the towns of Barachit,Tebnin,Ita al-Jabal and Shaqra, according to Lebanese security sources.

The sources stated that the shelling targeted the southern part of al-Sawannah town, al-Aysheih valley and Ein Khanouk valley.

Meanwhile, Lebanese resistance forces attacked an Israeli position in Barachit hill on Saturday morning. In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said the position sustained direct hits. Moreover, on Saturday, the Israeli occupation troops continued to attack areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli heavy artillery shelled the surroundings of Tibnin and Barachit towns.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance renewed its attacks against a joint Israeli - South Lebanon Army militia position on Barachit hill.

In a statement the Lebanese resistance said the resistance men rocketed the position where fortifications were being carried out. The statements added that the position was directly hit.

Earlier in the day, the Lebanese fighters shelled the same position using artillery and rockets.
