Arab parliaments' secretary generals call for consolidating democracy

The first meeting of secretary generals of Arab parliaments called for the consolidation of democracy in Arab states.
The meeting, which wound up Thursday in Cairo, recommended Arab states to endow their parliamentary specialized commissions with the appropriate means to consolidate the legislative control over budget and planning.
Participants called for the creation of technical bureaus to supply the parliaments with accurate data to help them fulfill their missions conveniently.
The Cairo meeting was attended by representatives of Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
