Moroccan public health sector goes on strike next week

Moroccan public health workers, personnel, nurses and physicians, will stage a two-day strike this November 25-26 to protest the authorities' indifference and failure to meet their grievances, several Moroccan dailies reported this Friday.

The Moroccan health unionists decided to go on strike after the authorities retracted the offers they made earlier to the health workers to push them cancel a scheduled strike.

Last week, the Moroccan public health personnel postponed a one-day strike after receiving a positive response from the health department to their claims for the improvement of their financial situation and work conditions.
