Moroccan - Iranian parliamentary talks

The head of the Moroccan council of deputies, Abdelouahed Radi, received an invitation from Taha Hashimi, a member of the presidential coalition in the Iranian parliament, to take part in the meeting of the preliminary committee for Islamic Parliamentary Union to be hosted by Tehran in the middle of the coming month.

The Iranian official, who is currently visiting Morocco, held talks with his Moroccan counterpart concentrating on upgrading the relations of the two countries and forming an Iranian - Moroccan parliamentary friendship group.

Moreover, the Moroccan official expressed his country's desire to enhance the initiative aimed at creating Islamic solidarity.

Iranian relations are witnessing an improvement with all Arab states since President Mohammad Khatami came to power in Iran during 1997.
