Sharon to visit Jordan, Russia next week

Russian sources in Cairo told ArabicNews.com that Israeli Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon is to arrive in Moscow at the end of the coming week at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Igor Ivanov.
The sources said that this will be Sharon's first visit to Moscow since he assumed his new post. The sources said the visit will attempt to enhance flexibility in Israeli negotiations with the Palestinians.
The sources expected that the Moscow talks will cover bilateral relations and the issue of settlements, as well as a number of regional issues.
Meanwhile, Sharon is to visit Jordan in the middle of the coming week to meet with a number of high-ranking Jordanian officials, at the top of which comes Crown Prince Hassan.
Sharon is to be accompanied by Israeli Minister of Trade and Industry Natan Sharansky on the visit.
Jordanian sources said that the talks will address recent political developments, as well as methods of enhancing relations between Israel and Jordan in various fields.
