Israel escalates aggressions against south Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces on Thursday continued their aggressions against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the occupation forces on Thursday afternoon attacked al-Qeseiyeh valley and the outskirts of al-Sawannah town.

Israeli helicopters raided on Wednesday night Um Tarah district in the western sector of south Lebanon. Thereby, the number of raids launched by Israeli warplanes against Lebanon since the beginning of this year reached one hundred.

In the western Bekaa, a bomb from the remains of the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982 exploded on Thursday in the surrounding of al-Qaroun lake, when workers were cleaning a water pipeline. The explosion resulted in wounding three of the workers who were admitted to hospital for treatment.

For its part, the Lebanese resistance on Thursday attacked an Israeli force at Barachit position inside the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said the Israeli forces were carrying out fortification acts in the said position, noting that direct hits were achieved.

On Thursday night, the Lebanese national resistance attacked the Israeli al-Qantara position inside the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said a resistance group attacked on Thursday 5:30 p.m. al-Qantara position. Members of the group were able to reach the position's main fortifications, destroy them and killing or wound the position's personnel.

Simultaneously, another group attacked the same position from the southern and western sides. The attack resulted in damag to the western fortifications of the position.
