UN to ask Iraq about the fate of 660 Kuwaiti prisoners
Kuwait-Iraq-UN, Politics, 11/19/1998

The US envoy at the UN, Peter Burleigh, said that the fate of 660 Kuwaitis and others held by Iraq during its invasion of Kuwait in 1990 will be an integral part of a revision the UN had promised for Baghdad to accept UN resolutions.

Poorly was quoted as saying that the first part of the revision will center on Iraq's compliance with the requirements of weapons dismantling and the second phase will deal with other issues including the Kuwaitis who disappeared during the 1990 Gulf War as indicated in two UN resolutions.
