Some 40 people die of AIDS in Kuwait

Chairman of the media and guidance committee for Kuwait's national campaign for combating AIDS, Dr. Rashed al-Oweish, said that some 40 Kuwaiti citizen had recently died, being affected with AIDS. In a press conference he held on Tuesday on the occasion of the World AIDS Day and published by the Kuwaiti daily al-Watan on Wednesday Dr al-Oweish added that some 760 AIDS cases have been reported in Kuwait since 1985. These, he added, include 600 visitors, 100 residents and 60 Kuwaiti nationals.
