US ambassador: Crisis between Iraq and the UN has not finished yet
Iraq-USA, Politics, 11/19/1998

The US ambassador to Kuwait, James Larocco, has warned that "all options are still open, and the crisis created by Iraq with the UN has not finished yet."

In a statement issued on Wednesday to the Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas, the US ambassador added that "all options are open unless Iraq obliges itself to abide by all UN resolutions and the five conditions demanded by the US and announced by the US president last Sunday.

He said that what is of concern to his country is to preserve the security of the region and for Iraq to implement all UN resolutions.
