Gaddafi: Project to establish Arab unity failed

Colonel Moammar Gaddafi, the leader of the Libyan revolution, said that Libya's direction toward greater integration with the African continent came after a bitter experiment that lasted 30 years with Arabization.
In a speech with the Qatari al-Jazira television network in Tripoli, he added that Libya's political affiliation to the Arabian states is not for the good of the Libyan people, and going on in this direction "makes us live in vain"
He stated that Libya will not continue to act on emotion, but will direct to Africa to seek its protection because the Arab alliance did not protect any Arab state.
Gaddafi said that if the Arabs succeed in achieving unity, he will be the first one to support and join them.
