Moroccan premier renews will for cooperation with Mauritania
Morocco-Mauritania, Politics, 11/18/1998
Moroccan prime minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi renewed Morocco's will to consolidate cooperation with Mauritania in various fields.
This came in a message of congratulations the Moroccan premier sent to Sheikh El-Afia Ould Mohamed Khouna on the occasion of his appointment as Mauritania's Prime Minister.
Sheikh El-Afia was appointed on Monday in replacement of Mohamed Lemine Ould Guig. He has been entrusted with forming a new cabinet that will prepare for the coming municipal elections, slated for next January.
Mohamed khouna, a renown economist, had already been prime minister of Mauritania, a post he quitted in December 1997, on the morrow of the legislative elections, to become secretary general of the presidency. He was later on appointed minister of foreign affairs.
