Judiciary cooperation accords signed in Paris

Morocco and France signed here on Tuesday two cooperation accords meant to consolidate cooperation in matters of magistrates' training and prisons management.
The accords provide for exchange of experience and pedagogical equipment, the holding of training sessions and seminars to the benefit of magistrates and would-be magistrates as well as to the benefit of the personnel of prisons administrations.
The first accord was initialed by the director of the Moroccan judiciary studies institute and the director of the French magistrature school, while the second was signed by the directors of the two countries' jails administrations.
Moroccan justice minister, Omar Azziman presided over the signing ceremony with his French peer, Ms. elizabeth Guigou.
Morocco and France intensified in the past three years their cooperation in judiciary fields, part of the reform efforts made by Morocco to consolidate the rule of law.
France is particularly involved in assisting Morocco establish trade courts.
