Algerian president wishes stronger relations with Rabat
Algeria-Morocco, Politics, 11/18/1998

Algerian President, Liamine Zeroual, on Tuesday expressed wish to see the brotherly relations between his country and Morocco reinforced.

President Zeroual's wish came in a message to King Hassan II on the occasion of the Moroccan Independence Day, celebrated this Wednesday.

"It gives me great pleasure on this happy occasion to express to you once again our firm wish to consolidate the brotherly ties binding our two peoples and to mobilize for our Maghreban project as a strategic option that we should materialize," the Algerian President said.

Both Morocco and Algeria are member of the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA) together with Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania.
