Turkey for good relations with Syria

Turkey on Tuesday expressed its willingness to establish neighborly relations with Syria. In a statement issued in Ankara, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the realization of the Adanah agreement between the two countries would lead to strengthening Syrian-Turkish relations.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also expressed Ankara's gratitude for the content of the final statement issued by the Damascus Declaration states' foreign ministers in their recent meeting in Doha on the readiness of its members to develop relations with Turkey.

The statement concluded by saying: "This development will be for the benefit of both the Arabs and Turkey," noting that "Ankara is prepared to develop relations with all Arab states in all areas."
