Lebanon complains against Israel to understanding committee

The April Understanding Monitoring Committee started its meeting on Tuesday at the headquarters of UNIFIL, in the Lebanese border town of Naqoura, in the presence of all its members.

The group was due to discuss a complaint lodged by Lebanon against Israel over its bombardment of Arab Salim town and the wounding of one Lebanese civilian. A complaint by Israel against Lebanon was also on the schedule.

Well-informed sources said the Lebanese delegation would also present pictures on the material damages resulted from the Israeli bombardment against Jabaa town.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces shelled on Tuesday morning the areas close to densely populated quarters in the outskirts of Majdal Soloum town.

In a statement, the Lebanese security source said that al-Salawqi Valley, Haris, Hadatha, Eita al-Jabal, Yatter and Kafra in south Lebanon also came under the Israeli artillery fire. The shelling was accompanied by mopping-up operations in the Litani river and Lwesi bridge.
