Saudi crown prince confers with Lebanese premier

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz received Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who arrived in Riyadh earlier Tuesday, at al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon and reviewed conditions in the Arab, Islamic and international arenas.

Meanwhile, Saudi Information Minister Fuad Abdul Salaam al-Farisi on Tuesday received a message from his Lebanese counterpart, Bassem al-Sabaa, relating to bilateral relations and means of strengthening media cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

The message was delivered by the director general of the National News Agency in Lebanon, Rafik Shalala, who is also chairman of the Federation of Arab News Agencies during his meeting with al-Farisi in Riyadh on Tuesday.

The activities of the Arab news agencies within the Arab media arena were reviewed.
