Iraqi opposition: Air strike is inevitable

Iraqi opposition sources told ArabicNews.com today that it has information that the US will direct a military strike against Iraq soon, saying that Washington can no longer bear Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
The sources said that the US administration has been discussing for months a proper pretext for directing a fatal strike that would lead to the Iraqi government's final toppling.
The sources also pointed to communications among opposition leaders and US officials three months ago, saying that Washington is currently concentrating on the reconciliation movement headed by Iad El-Alawi to play a major role in the prepared scenario.
