Three Israeli soldiers killed in south Lebanon

An Israeli military spokesman said on Monday that three Israeli soldiers were killed and four were wounded in an operation carried out by the Lebanese resistance on Monday in the occupied part of south Lebanon.
A statement released by the Lebanese resistance said that one Israeli soldier was killed and five injured on Monday before noon when an explosive charge planted by resistance forces detonated while an Israeli force was patrolling near their position in Markaba, inside the occupied part of south Lebanon. The statement added that a special resistance unit was able to penetrate the Israeli enemy's security measures and detonated an explosive charge at 11:30 a.m., while a seven-member force was positioned at the entrance of the 70 brigade command the Markaba area. The forces members were killed or wounded, the statement said.
The charge was detonated by remote control, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Lebanese resistance forces also attacked Israeli movements inside the occupied strip of south Lebanon. The resistance said in a statement that direct hits were achieved.
For its part, the pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army militia said that one Israeli soldier was killed and five were wounded as a result of the operation carried out on Monday by the Lebanese resistance against an Israeli on foot patrol in the area close to the Palestinian - Lebanese borders.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery units shelled with 155 mm guns, al-Tuffah area, al-Zahrani river area, the towns of Jemejmeh and al-Sawannah, al-Qeiseyeh valley. The bombardment was accompanied by intensive Israeli helicopter sorties and surveillance planes over Haula.
Further, reports said that in the western Bekaa, the SLA militia machine-gunned Meimas, Jabal al-Daher, Dabgi woods and roads linking Zaghleh to Hasbani and Zamriya crossing. Earlier in the day, Israeli warplanes raided Sujoud, Jabal al-Rafee, where a number of missiles were dropped. Reports from the area said damage or casualties resulting from the raid were still unknown.
