Kuwait increases readiness of its armed forces

The Kuwaiti army increased the readiness of its armed forces, as Kuwait expects the arrival of US air and land forces on its lands at any time.
Kuwaiti Minister of Defense Salim al-Sabah interrupted his visit to Washington last Friday due to the escalation of Iraqi crisis, saying that Kuwait has to be ready for any urgent matter.
Meanwhile, Kuwait is waiting for US military reinforcements which are to be sent to the Gulf region, including thousands of soldiers and tens of war planes, as well as naval units and an aircraft carrier, despite the end of the crisis a Kuwaiti source told ArabicNews.com today.
