Iraq decided to resume cooperation with UNSCOM

The UN Secretary General Kofi Annan today said that Iraq's reply to his message in which he asked for permitting UNSCOM team to resume their works meet the demand of the international organization. Replying a question whether the Iraqi reply meets all UN demands,Annan said: " from my own point of view, it ( the Iraqi reply) meets the demands of the international organization. SANA reported from New York. Earlier, he representative of the UN Secretary general in Baghdad Barakash Shah announced today in Baghdad that Iraq has decided to resume its cooperation with the UN inspectors in charge of dismantling the Iraqi weapons. Barakash told reporters that the " Iraqi deputy Premier Tare Aziz handed him a message in this respect addressed the UN Secretary Generil Kofi Annan."
On the other hand, the CNN said today that the Iraqi ambassador to the UN Nizar Hamdoun is preparing to deliver the message today to the UN Secretary General in New York. SANA added.
