Muslim brotherhood in Egypt criticize the US and support Iraq
Egypt-Regional, Politics, 11/13/1998

The Muslim Brotherhood groups have stressed rejection of the US threats against the US and strongly criticized the US.

In a statement issued on Wednesday saying "Iraq has been since eight years under precise inspection and a tough economic siege that resulted in killing tens of thousands of its people."

The statement continued that "America and other Western colonialist countries and Israel pile up all sorts of internationally banned weapons by which they frighten the world, whereas the Arab nation is bearing the burden of the intransigence of the Israeli Prime Minister, his violation of all UN security resolution, usurping Palestine and expelling or displacing its people."

The statement added that the " Arab nation should not stand silent showing no real objection." They stressed support for the "Iraqi people" and called for lifting the siege imposed on Iraq.
