An official source at the Hungarian capital, Budapest said that the Hungarian President left on Wednesday for Tunisia on a four-day official visit at the invitation of the Tunisian President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali. The Hungarian president is accompanied by a delegation comprising some 30 businessmen. The visit aims at developing economic and trade relations between the two countries. The two Presidents will sign an agreement on " joint confrontation of organized crime." Go

British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook will start next week a visit to Cairo, where he will discuss with Egyptian counterpart Amr Moussa, the Mid-East peace process, the agreements signed with the Palestinians, means of resuming peace talks on the Syrian and Lebanese tracks, the Libyan-Western crisis (Lockerbie) as well as developments of the crisis between the UN and Iraq. President Hafez al- Assad on Wednesday spoke on the telephone with the Lebanese president Elias Hrawi who was admitted to Qalb Yasu hospital in Beirut, and expressed him best wishes for his good health and speedy recovery.
