Prince of Najran meets with Yemeni President
Yemen-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 11/11/1998

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Tuesday in Aden received prince Mashaal Bin Saud Bin Abdul Aziz, ruler of Najran district who started a visit to Yemen on Monday.

The Yemeni President and Prince Mashaal discussed bilateral relations. The Yemeni President stressed what links Yemen to Saudi Arabia "reflects the deep special relations of fraternity, kinship, religion and good neighborhood."

In statements to the press team accompanying Prince Mashaal, the Yemeni President said that he discussed with the prince of Najran friendly and brotherly relations between the Yemei Sada province and the Saudi Najran district and neighbouring provinces. He added "we shared identical stances on the need to preserve security and safety in the region. And this is based on the concept that the security of the Kingdom is part of that of Yemen and Vice-Versa."

For his part, Prince Mashaal said that talks dealt with security issues between them.
