Egyptian Minister of Public Enterprises Atef Ebeid announced yesterday in press statement the sale of four companies affiliated to the Holding Company for Cotton and Foreign Trade: Lee Egypt, for the car trade rights distributor of Italian Fiat cars; Misr for the foreign trade; El-Nasr for imports and exports that has the right of distribution in African markets; and El-Arabia for foreign trade. Baghdad has primarily agreed to allow the passage of Turkish trucks across Iraqi territories directly to the Gulf through the transit system. The Turkish daily al-Sabah has said that Russia asked both Libya and Sudan not to accept Abdullah Oclan, chairman of the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) on their territories. Under the title "Gaddafi is the new supporter for Abdullah Oclan," the paper added that neither Libyan nor Sudan has replied yet to the Russian request, noting that Ankara is following up the matter closely.
