New Syrian-Turkish meeting

Turkish dailies on Wednesday said that a new meeting was held on Tuesday between Syrian and Turkish officials to discuss a mechanism for security cooperation and to supervise the progress attained in the implementation of articles of the Adanah agreement which was signed on October 20.
The Turkish daily Hurriet reported that the meeting, held in the city of Malatieh in southeastern Turkey, discussed "actual implementation" of what had been agreed upon in setting up a direct "telephone hotline" between Ankara and Damascus to guarantee the speedy exchange of security information.
The paper added that the Turkish delegation was led by the commander of the second army positioned in southeastern Turkey, Gen Etaj Yalman, and the Syrian delegation, led by chief of political intelligence, Lt. Gen. Adnan Bader Hassan, MENA reported.
