Attack kills two from Israeli-allied militia

The Pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army militia on Wednesday cut off the Jezzine area, closed Bater and Kafar Falous crossings, and cut off the road between Jezzine and Marjioun where Israeli occupation and pro-Israeli leaders are located.
In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said: "When enemy forces arrived in the area, an explosive device was detonated, killing two pro-Israeli militia and wounding many others."
In another statement, the Lebanese resistance said its forces attacked a joint Israeli - SLA militia military motorcade at al-Ahmadeyah position inside the occupied part of the western Bekaa. The motorcade was directly hit by the resistance force's rockets and machine-gun fire.
The resistance forces attacked the Israeli military position in Balat twice on Wednesday in the western sector of the occupied region of south Lebanon. A resistance statement said three groups hit the position with great success.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation troops continued to launch attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said that Israeli artillery bombarded the towns of Mifdon, Zouter, Qaqaiey, Shouqin, as well as the deserted Lebanese army barracks in al-Nabatieh area in the central sector. The bombardment coincided with heavy machine-gun fire against the front-lines in the sector.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes carried out mock raids at low altitudes over the central and Western sectors of the occupied zone. The planes also flew over Tyre, firing flares. Israeli MK surveillance planes were also seen flying in the airspace of the western Bekaa.
Later in the day, Israeli heavy artillery shelled several villages in the central sector as well as the hills of al-Tuffah district, al-Rafee mountain, Lweizeh, Mleita and the Litani and Zahrani river areas. Damage was caused to houses and cultivated areas as a result of the Israeli shelling.
Israeli war planes raided the Zalaya valley in the western Bekaa twice. Lebanese security sources said the enemy warplanes fired air to surface missiles at the targeted area. They were intercepted by Lebanese army and resistance anti-aircraft missiles.
Israeli air raids were launched for the third successive day inside Lebanese territories. Earlier in the day, Lebanese resistance forces attacked enemy movements in the Balat position. Direct hits were scored.
Israeli occupation forces based in al-Zahera on Wednesday shelled the al-Assi region near Yater town and the outskirts of Jibal al-Botoum. News reports from south Lebanon said that more than 20 155 mm shells were launched on the targeted area.
The Israeli bombardment targeted the outskirts of Majdal Soloum, al-Salwqi valley, al-Hajir valley, Toulin and the surrounding areas of Zalaya, al-Dallafah and Qelya villages in the Western Bekaa.
In retaliation, Lebanese resistance forces on Wednesday evening attacked a joint Israeli - SLA militia security motorcade near Beer Klab position, inside the occupied Zone of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said one of its groups rocketed and machine-gunned the motorcade after ambushing it before entering the position.
Later on Wednesday a resistance group detonated an explosive device against a personnel carrier for the pro-Israeli SLA militia along the Jezzine Ramleh road in the occupied zone of south Lebanon.
In another statement, the resistance said the carrier was totally destroyed as a result of the blast. The SLA acknowledged that three of its men were killed and four wounded in an explosion aimed a pro-Israeli militia armed vehicle on the road of Jezzine - Daher Erehla.
The armored vehicle was completely destroyed.
