Jordanian - Palestinian - Israeli cooperation on telecommunications

In collaboration with the US Trade development, the Jordanian government is taking necessary measures to implement a regional project for telephone grid between Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian government through erecting land cables al-Dostour reported.
The Jordanian daily al-Dostour quoted Jordanian Telecommunications sources as saying that the company has no connection to this project, whose details have been debated between the Jordanian Ministry of Planning and the US agency. The project will be financed by the US agency at a cost of US $30 million as a preliminary phase which will start by the beginning of next year, 1999.
