Resistance escalated in south Lebanon against occupation forces

Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday continued to carry out attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied zone and against the western Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said that several towns and villages were shelled by Israeli artillery. Israeli airplanes carried out intensive raids over the Nabatieh and al-Tuffah districts. The sources stated that more than 30 shells fell over the western Bekaa. They added that the occupation troops fired many flares over the region.

Lebanese fighters retaliated by rocketing the Israeli and Lahd positions in Zamraya, al-Rayhan and al-Ahmadieh.

Israeli gun boats fired on fishermen off Tyre city, reported added.

Meanwhile, Lebanese resistance forces continued on Tuesday to attack Israeli occupation troops military positions and their pro-Israeli Lahd militia.

In a statement, the resistance said the resistance men machine-gunned the Sujoud positions whilst repairs and reinforcements were being carried out by the Israeli soldiers and militia. The positions were hit by Lebanese fighters on Monday.

Another statement said that resistance forces detonated an explosive charge at the entrance of the Mashoran position set up by the occupation troops inside the occupied zone of south Lebanon. The position was directly hit by the resistance forces.

Later, Lebanese fighters attacked Israeli positions in the Balat and Radar areas in the western sector of the occupied zone. The two positions were directly hit by rockets.
